Marketing and Sustainability – Theory and Practice
Organized by Solvay Business School and BMMA

This module explores the dynamic relationship between marketing and sustainability, combining theory with practical applications. You will learn how marketing and sustainability strategies can be closely aligned to reinforce each other and drive meaningful impact. Key marketing principles will be revisited through a sustainability lens, and the implications for each element of the S.A.V.E. model will be examined.

By the end of the module, participants will be able to:

Understand how marketing and sustainability interact.

Gain insights into how today’s consumers approach sustainability.

Integrate sustainability into all aspects of marketing, from strategy to execution.

Topics include:

  • Core principles of sustainability and the concept of “markethics”

  • Managing the ambiguous consumer and mapping tensions

  • Sustainability in digital marketing

  • Practical tools: the 15 levers to integrate sustainability into marketing, guided by the S.A.V.E. model
